At 400+ pounds, I finally pushed myself to get the Lap-Band surgery. This is the tale of how I'm trying to become the woman inside of me that's fighting to get out.

Fill

I had another fill today. It was nice that my appointment was right on time, and my surgeon was sitting in the room waiting for me. First of all, it turns out that at my last fill, when he only pulled 1cc out of my band, he apparently didn't get it all...this time, there was supposed to be 5cc and he pulled 6 out. Interesting. I'm up to 8cc now, and when I told him that his assistant said it was most likely a 14cc band, he said "Yeah, you have the big one" - this is after he's told me it was "either 10 or 12" then "think it's 10" so his word doesn't really mean much on this issue anymore. He told me to do 5 days of liquids since I look very tight now on the flouro, but this is a little nuts. My last fill was much bigger and I only had to do 3 days. I will do 3 days and try something soft and see how it goes. Right now I'm enjoying DH's homemade cream of chicken soup :) That's one of the things I like about getting fills, because he always tries a new soup recipe for me that day.

I haven't posted much lately because there hasn't been much going on. I haven't went walking again for awhile now because of the weather and just feeling lethargic since we got back from Baltimore. If it stops storming every day I'll try to get out again this week.
